I tried one of my first brews last night and wow, how great I thought it was a year ago, it's not so great now (I think the romance has worn off that batch).

I laughed at the comment "Make sure you get everything you'll ever want for homebrewing gear before you get married" - I just moved in with my boyfriend, who is ecstatic that he has found a girl who will make him whatever beer he wants, in turn he builds me brew equipment - so my set-up is slowly evolving away from plastic buckets! It's a great relationship!

I'm glad you married a woman who can appreciate beer as well!BrewGirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14759393573637968560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4248546133851524141.post-82076257923255870082010-06-29T12:32:11.595-05:002010-06-29T12:32:11.595-05:00Best Quote every "Make sure you get everythin...Best Quote every "Make sure you get everything you'll ever want for homebrewing gear before you get married.""Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03246905841273826607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4248546133851524141.post-56774145713001865112010-06-24T14:51:18.753-05:002010-06-24T14:51:18.753-05:00Ah, my first all-grain brew. Without the money to buy and outfit a cooler, I put a plastic false bottom in a bottling bucket, with the spigot taken out and a rubber stopper jammed into the hole and an inline valve controlling flow. The stopped got pushed into the bucket, spilling 150 degree grains and water all over the floor, twice.Tomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09745860133919981222noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4248546133851524141.post-59856072307339375742010-06-21T17:34:06.362-05:002010-06-21T17:34:06.362-05:00Right on, man. There is something romantic about our early brewing rigs and the less than stellar batches we all made on them, though.Timhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14445621536843956069noreply@blogger.com
